Berks & South Bucks County Championships 2018

Maidenhead swimmers acquitted themselves superbly during the two weekends of Berks & South Bucks County Championships on 13th/14th and 27th/28th January.  From the most experienced swimmers to the first timer’s , all of the swimmers rose to the occasion. Over the two weekends Maidenhead Marlins were represented by over 45 swimmers across all age group with over 50% making finals. There were multiple medal winners in the age group competition as well as Junior & Senior Championships for Tom Dean , Isobel Benster , Joel Lange and William Dean . 

Some of the stand out performances out came from the boys 12/13 age - 4 x100m medley relay team who were also crowned Junior County Champions. The four boys Ben Philips, William Dean, Alex Bacon and Nathan Potter all swam superbly and also achieved silver medals for the 4 x 100m freestyle relay. Whilst the 12/13 girls team and 10/11 boys team achieved bronze in their 4 x 100m freestyle relay race . There were also senior silver and junior bronze championship medals for Daria Poma-Kostik and Karina Andrea in the 200m breaststroke event.  In the final standings the Maidenhead men’s team came second to Wycombe District in the Men’s Club Aggregated Trophy.
