Do you want to volunteer as a timekeeper or judge ?

Rather than just hang around in a swimming pool for several hours why not help on poolside as a timekeeper or judge?  You do not need previous swimming experience as full training will be given.

If you are a parent or swimmer aged 14 or over, and would like to help, there will be relevant courses arranged at Magnet in October/November on a Tuesday or Thursday evening.  Please contact our ASA co-ordinator ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) for further information

Maidenhead Marlins needs qualified officials to run their own licensed meets and it is a very rewarding job which can lead to officiating at County, Regional and National events.

Marlins Club Secretary Vacancy

As you may be aware , Suki Calliss , our long standing Club Secretary stepped down from the role in the summer and so we are urgently looking for a replacement .

The Club Secretary's role at our Club will typically involve the following duties and responsibilities  :

  • To have a knowledge and understanding of roles and responsibilities of other club committee members To maintain up to date contact details for committee members, other key club personnel and the relevant ASA Secretaries
  • To maintain up to date contact details for committee members, other key club personnel and the relevant ASA Secretaries

Our committee meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month from 7 to 9pm at the Magnet and you would be joining a team of members and swim parents from across the club - a full list of committee members is available on our website .

If you are interested in getting involved and would like to discuss this role in more detail then please email  This email address is being protected from spambots. September Level 4 internal meet - results

Results of the last in the 2017 series of Level 4 internal meets are published below.  All eligible results have been sent to ASA rankings so that they can be used for entry to future meets.

Congratulations to all swimmers and a huge 'thank you' to the officials and volunteers who gave up their time to ensure that this year's events were a great success.

Medal Hangers

Marlins are delighted to be collaborating with Edwards & White Sheet Metal Ltd to offer quality stainless steel medal hangers as a fund raiser. If your house is full of medals that you don’t know what to do with, this is a great way to display them and to celebrate your children’s (and your!) achievements.

The hangers are simply screwed into the wall and can hold dozens of medals.  The medal hangers can be produced specifically for Swimming or the wording can be changed to create a more generic hanger - such as ‘Winner’ or ‘My Medals’ – which will cover lots of activities.  Other suggestions are welcome!

The cost is just £20 per hanger with profits going to Maidenhead Marlins.

Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for further info or to place an order.  NB They make great Christmas gifts, too!

If you ordered one of these hangers at the Summer BBQ in July - they will be available for collection and payment at the Internal gala on Saturday 16th September

***Important*** Reminder to keep your payment and contact information up to date at all times

Unfortunately, there are a number of swimmers who are late with fees, or who have not amended their standing orders to the correct amount following squad changes.

Pleas see 'Fees and payment methods' information on the website (http://www.maidenheadmarlins.com/fees-and-payment-methods) for current fees and details of payment methods.

As a reminder, all fees are payable in advance by standing order and are due on or before the 1st day of each quarter (an administration charge of £10 charge per quarter will be applied for cheque payments).

Please note that an additional charge of £10 will be applied to all payments not received within 10 days of the due date – this will be invoiced automatically and added to your account.  Although something we wish to avoid wherever possible, any swimmer whose account remains unsettled for a period of time will be suspended from swimming.  Please, therefore, ensure that your standing order is up to date, especially if the swimmer changes squads.

As well as providing information via the website, we also use the email information that you provide on joining to send information relating to squad or club activities.  It is therefore very important that you notify the Membership Secretary ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) of any changes to email address, home address or medical information.

If you have any queries on your membership, please contact the Membership Secretary ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) or Treasurer ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )

Thank you for your help in keeping information up to date.

ASA Membership - Important

Please note that if you wish to enter open meets (including ours) you must have Category 2 ASA membership. If you have recently moved into the competitive part of the club this is most likely to apply to you, but you should be able to check your current membership level here. If you are not certain that you have a Category 2 membership you should check.

Note that we may need to withdraw your entry from our meet if your swimmer only has a Category 1 ASA Membership.

In order to upgrade your membership you would need to fill in a category 2 form, which then needs to be sent to our ASA coordinator (contactable at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ), with a blank stamped envelope.
